Where's the beeeef? Here's our plan to keep you well-supplied with nourishing, delicious grass-fed beef this year.
Welcome to the new year! We have been very busy planning our 2021 production season to make sure you have all the delicious, nourishing meats and eggs you can eat.
However, we are finding that there's simply more demand for real rotationally-raised grass-fed beef than our (small but growing!) herd can supply this year. In fact... we ended December with a severe shortage of beef, so we knew we had to do something. Last year we partnered with a fellow grass-fed farm to supply grass-fed beef for our half and whole beef customers. This year we're doing it again, but we're expanding availability into retail cuts to give you more flexibility in shopping.
Watch our short video explaining our plans to keep beef in your freezer this year.
Though we anticipate harvesting about 40 cattle from our herd this year, we will still be about 20-30 cows short. We desire to serve our customers by seeking out similar-minded farms to bolster our beef supply.
We are firmly committed to these practices on our farm and on any producer-partner farms:
We have expertise in identifying legitimate grass-fed farms and infrastructure to be able to distribute processed grass-fed beef directly to consumers. This partnership enables our customers to obtain the authentic grass-fed beef they seek, and enables other farms like ours to grow and thrive, furthering the cause of growing real food here in Texas.
