Raw Milk Pickup at Shady Grove Ranch!

Looking for raw milk in East Texas? We now host a drop point at our farm store every two weeks for raw cow and goat's milk and cream produced by Southspoon Farms of Yantis, Texas! 

About Southspoon Farms 

Southspoon Farms' Jersey cows are all A2/A2 casein tested (some research suggests this form of milk protein is easier to digest). The cows receive a grain-based dairy feed ration year-round and consume about 90% of their diet as grass/hay forage. About the SGR Pickup

Southspoon Farms will be traveling to our farm every two weeks to drop off pre-ordered milk for pickup during Shady Grove Ranch store hours. Milk will be kept refrigerated until you pick up and should be kept cold during your trip home. Cow's milk easily lasts 2 weeks if kept cold. Goat's milk should last 10-12 days. Be sure to bring a cooler to transport your milk home. Note that milk is ONLY available by pre-order directly from Southspoon Farms. Shady Grove Ranch serves as the host pickup point.

Pickup Details

1. Milk is produced by Southspoon Farms in Yantis. Visit Southspoon's website for current pricing and availability.
2. Pre-paid milk will be dropped off every two weeks by pre-order only. There will be no on-site sales of milk. Purchase should be made directly from Southspoon Farm.
3. Pickup MUST occur at Shady Grove Ranch (SGR) during regular SGR store hours. Current hours: 
   1. Thursdays 2-5pm during Central Standard Time (Nov thru March) or Thursday 3-6pm during Daylight Savings Time (April thru Oct)
      
   2. Fridays 10am-3pm
   3. Saturdays 10am-1pm
   4. Closed on major holidays. Check SGR Facebook page or Google listing for directions and any changes to farm store schedule.
   5. If these hours don't work for you, please do not order. We cannot facilitate after-hours milk pickup at this time. All milk orders MUST be picked up on pickup week by Saturday at 1pm. 
   6. SGR does not offer transport to offsite drops. This is an on-farm service only.
