Smoked Ham

Wondering how to cook the Smoked Ham you just bought from Shady Grove Ranch?? Here's our simple and delicious classic method! Super easy!
  • Prep Time:
  • Cook Time:

Ingredients

  • (4-8 lb) Smoked Ham Roast (Quarter)

Directions

Thaw ham overnight on counter, or several days ahead in refrigerator.

Place ham, largest cut side down, in a rimmed baking pan. (I prefer a 9x13 pyrex, or use a roasting pan for a larger ham.)

Bake uncovered at 350F until the center near the bone reaches 145F, approximately 20 minutes per pound.

If the ham begins to get too dark on top, tent a piece of foil loosely over it.

If the fat in the pan begins to splatter and smoke, carefully add 1/2 cup of water to the bottom of the pan. Repeat if necessary.

Remove from oven and let rest, loosely covered with foil, for 10 minutes.

Carve and serve with grainy mustard mixed with maple syrup. Save the bone for soup!
