Beef Broth is dark and meaty in flavor compared with chicken broth, and though it will not gel as readily as pork broth, it is lovely to keep on hand for cooking or simple drinking along with meals as a digestive tonic. Our favorite way to use it is homemade French Onion Soup. Simply saute chopped onions in butter or lard until soft, then pour in prepared beef broth and salt to taste. It really is that easy!
