Easy Indoor BBQ Spare Ribs
Falling-off-bone tender, this recipe is perfect for year-round enjoyment of pork Spare Ribs. It's very low prep, too!
  • Prep Time:
  • Cook Time:
  • Servings: 1-8

Ingredients

Directions

In morning, remove thawed ribs from packages and lay flat in a single layer on a deep rimmed baking sheet, with the meaty side up. Evenly sprinkle 1/2 tsp per pound of ribs across the tops. Cover the pan with aluminum foil. Bake, covered, at 275F for 7 hours.

Remove pan from oven carefully (there will now be liquid present in the pan). Pour off liquid into a large glass bowl*.

Spread your favorite BBQ sauce across the tops of the finished ribs and place under broiler for 5-15 minutes until crisped and browned. Serve with lots of napkins! :-)

*This mixture of fat and broth can be separated by skimming the fat off the top with a ladle. The fat can be used as a cooking oil and is wonderful for sauteing or roasting vegetables, or frying eggs, etc. The broth can be used as a soup base or to make rice. Note that the broth will be salty if you salted the ribs before cooking. See our blog article about using wet-rendered fat for cooking
